Jet Set Tutors ("we", "us") provides one-to-one home tutoring in Sydney, Australia. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website and services, how we use it, and the choices you have. What we collect
- Contact details you give us, such as your name, phone number, email address and suburb.
- Enquiry details, such as your child's year level and the subjects you are interested in.
- Anything else you choose to share with us by phone, email, our contact options or the chat assistant on this website.
The chat assistant
Our website includes an AI-powered chat assistant that answers questions and helps you book a free trial lesson. Please keep in mind:
- Messages you type are processed by our hosting provider (Netlify) and an AI provider (Anthropic) to generate replies. Anthropic does not use these conversations to train its AI models by default.
- If you share enquiry details in the chat, such as your name, contact number, year level and subject, these are sent to us by email so our team can contact you about lessons. This is the only information from the chat that we keep.
- The conversation itself is not stored by us. It exists only in your browser and disappears when you close or reload the page.
- The assistant is automated and may make mistakes. For anything important, please confirm with our team directly.
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange tutoring, including your free trial lesson.
- To match your child with a suitable tutor.
- To communicate with you about lessons, scheduling and billing.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run our website and business: Netlify (website hosting), Anthropic (AI processing for the chat assistant) and our form/email providers (delivering enquiries to our inbox). These providers process information on our behalf and under their own privacy safeguards. Beyond this, we only share information with the tutor assigned to your family, and where required by law.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs (such as IP addresses) to run and secure the service.
Storage and security
Enquiry details are delivered to our business email and kept only as long as needed to manage your enquiry and any ongoing tutoring relationship, or as required by law.
Access, correction and deletion
You can ask us at any time to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email tutoring@jetsettutors.com.au and we will respond promptly.
Children's information
Enquiries should be made by a parent or guardian. We only collect information about students (such as year level and subjects) as provided by their parent or guardian for the purpose of arranging tutoring.
